After Trump comment, Lincicome taking Twitter break

Two-time major champion Brittany Lincicome didn’t have to wait until she teed it up at Trump National in Bedminster, N.J., to experience the external pressures that will come playing the U.S. Women’s Open there this week. Lincicome announced Sunday that she’s going off Twitter this week because of the backlash she’s getting over a comment she made about the possibility Trump will attend next week’s event. Lincicome was among players at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship last week who were asked how they felt about playing the U.S. Women’s Open at one of President Trump’s golf courses. “Hopefully, maybe, he doesn’t show up, and it won’t be a big debacle, and it will be about us and not him,” Lincicome

Rahm cruises to six-shot win at Irish Open

What began as a close affair turned into a rout for Jon Rahm at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. The Spaniard bent Portstewart Golf Club to his will Sunday, firing a 7-under 65 to blow past an elite field. After starting the day with a share of the lead, Rahm ended up with a six shot victory and his 24-under total broke the tournament scoring record by three shots. "If you had told me at the beginning of the week that I was going to win, I would have believed you because I always compete to win," Rahm said. "But if you had told me I was going to shoot 24 under in this weather, and win by six, I would have probably said, 'You're crazy. Absolutely crazy.' I would not have bet on myself doing that

"I have a lot of things to pass on to my grandkids, whether it's fishing or being a grandpa. On the other hand, my brain is still working pretty good. All these years of announcing, I feel like I haven't slipped any. And NBC seems to like having me." Miller will be

Golfers everywhere have discovered the stupidest new trend ever

There are stupid trends, there are dangerous trends, and then there’s this, which resides squarely in both categories. It started because one of the Internet’s most legendary memes — the ‘would you run over your best friend’ meme — made a random reemergence last week. And so, ever since, amateur golfers everywhere have repurposed the meme by running over their friends in golf carts. Warning: Some of the videos contain NSFW Language It’s pretty stupid. Really stupid, actually. Super stupid and super dangerous. Just a big, stupid idea. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Please don’t do this.
